Tanya Gallo

Associate Director, Global Resilience Practice

Tanya Gallo heads the Strategy Partner Network for 100 Resilient Cities, managing our team of consultants partnering with 100RC member cities to develop resilient strategies. She has international experience in urbanism, public space design and programming.

Prior to joining 100RC, Tanya was Director of The Station Alliance, a non-profit working in partnership with the MTA to improve subway stations throughout New York City.  Before that, Tanya was an independent consultant with HR&A Advisors, Inc. managing urban development projects including the NY Rising Community Reconstruction Program, overseeing the Post-Sandy resiliency planning process and the community rebuilding plans in hard hit coastal communities across New York City. She also led the management and programming for Lawn on D, an innovative public space in Boston in collaboration with the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority contributing to the revitalization of the Waterfront District of South Boston.

She received her MSc in Urbanization and Development at the London School of Economics and was a 2008-9 recipient of the Charles H. Revson Fellowship at Columbia University, awarded annually to ten city leaders in New York City. Tanya has published articles on public space in Beirut, guest lectured on place-making at Pratt Institute, and is an instructor on public space at Columbia University’s Summer Program.
