Konstantina Karydi joined 100 Resilient Cities – Rockefeller Foundation in 2015 as Associate Director, Europe and Middle East with experience in international organisation building, change management and European affairs. In this capacity she is directing cross-national teams across the region towards the development and implementation of urban resilience strategies while contributing to the elaboration of the global urban agenda through relevant policy fora and pioneering the European office of the organization.
Prior to joining 100RC she acted as Special Advisor to the Mayor of Athens on European Policies and Public Administration and in this capacity led the setting up of two European wide best practices on Poverty & Social Inclusion and Civil Society engagement while contributing to the development of the European Urban Agenda. She brings extensive experience in senior stakeholder engagement, European policy development and civil society relations and a regional expertise for the Balkan region.
For the community work of Balkans Beyond Borders, a regional cultural innovation organisation, Konstantina has been recipient of the 2018 Civil Society Award of the European Social Economic Commission. Having also received a double scholarship, she has completed the global executive Masters of the EPFL on Innovative Governance of Large Urban Systems (2017) and she is holder of the Msc European Public Policy from University College London.
