Ashley Knapp leads communications efforts for 100 Resilient Cities across Asia Pacific. Based in the Singapore office, her work includes partnering cities to help them tell impactful resilience stories, training 100RC staff and Chief Resilience Officers in communicating resilience and building awareness of the 100RC work happening across the region.
Prior to joining 100RC, she was a Senior Vice President at APCO Worldwide where she worked on many clients including the announcement of the second cohort of 100RC network cities in Singapore. In that role, Ashley advised clients that included the Central Bank of the Philippines and BlackBerry. She was the region’s lead media and communications trainer. Before shifting to focus on government relations and policy, Ashley was an Account Director, leading the corporate and consumer communications practice at Grayling in Asia Pacific. There she consulted on corporate positioning and consumer media campaigns, helping clients communicate in complex regulatory environments including the aviation and beverage alcohol industries.
Ashley was born and raised in New York City but has lived and worked in Singapore, Hong Kong, Dublin and Seville. She holds an MA in European Studies from Trinity College, University of Dublin.
